The Problem

My Role

With the merger of Potash Corp. and Agrium, Nutrien was created.

The retail division within Nutrien was relaunched as Nutrien Ag Solutions. 

Opportunity

As part of the creative team within Nutrien Ag Solutions, I had the opportunity to work alongside agency partners to rollout the brand internally and externally.

I was brought on right before the merger of Potash and Agrium to assist with the rebranding efforts.

Nutrien Case Study 1-01.png

Our agency partner, Osborn, Barr, and Paramore (OBP) developed new creative for Nutrien Ag Solutions. My team was responsible for translating that brand into creative across the organization. I was responsible for creating new assets based off of the new guidelines involving anything from mailers, billboards, logos, emails, 1 sheeters, truck wraps, and the list goes on.

During my tenure with Nutrien Ag Solutions, I worked closely with a lot of internal groups such as digital marketing as well as the UX team. Several of these projects included campaigns, emails, websites, and app logos. I am proud to have provided identities for several large business units.

Branding efforts often transcended our own business and involved our business partners. I worked with marketing and outside businesses to create assets that were dual branded and served both organizations. This involved working within outside brand guidelines and creatively solving business problems for multiple partners.

Web and UX Design

Perhaps one of the highlights of my career was when I was tasked with redesigning our tradeshow website. This gave me the chance to learn more about the UX process which lead me on my journey to become certified as a UX designer through CareerFoundry. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to complete this project, as Covid had recently started and tradeshows were put on hold.

Tradeshow Activation

I had the opportunity to design the flow and assets for the Farm and Gin show in Memphis Tennessee. I flew to the show and coordinated with the team there to set up the assets the way I had designed the flow and interaction of the space. During this event I had the opportunity to interact with customers and represent the brand of Nutrien Ag Solutions.

Brand Styling

During the launch of Nutrien Ag Solutions with out agency partners, I was given the chance to add secondary and tertiary colors to our brand style guide. Over the years I worked to update the styleguide, add to it, and share it with out agency and internal partners. Working on the guidelines provided me with the opportunity to strategize and collaborate within and outside of the organization.
